Dalhousie vs. McGill in Eastern Cup Championship at Burnside turf field Sat Nov. 14
This weekend at Harbour East field in Burnside off Commodore Drive, the Dalhousie Tigers Men's University Rugby Club will take on the McGill Redmen for the second annual Eastern Cup Championship.

With a lack of a National Championship, like Women's University Rugby has, these 2 regions have decided upon themselves to take it up a notch, for bragging rights. The McGill Redmen have won the Quebec Championship for 4 consecutive years, this year beating all league opponents 223 - 28. They have as many as 6 Quebec Men's University Rugby All-Stars, and 3 members have been on the National U-20 team in the past.

The Dalhousie Tigers have had similar success winning the past 2 Maritime Championships. The final, saw the Dal Tigers beat the PEI Panthers 40 - 12. Their scoring prowess has also been strong beating all opponents 244 - 52.

In the first Eastern Cup, held last year at McGill, the Dalhousie Tigers came out on top 14 - 13 - with a penalty kick on the last play of the game in the cold pouring rain. It was quite a site for the Dal team, especially one with no coach last year! McGill has had this date circled on their calender for a whole year - to get the Cup back.

Come out this Saturday for the last game of the year, with 2 undefeated teams going head-to-head.
It should be two great games! The 2nd sides play at 1 pm and the 1st sides play at 3 pm
