Officials Level 1 - Introducing officiating
Prerequisite: Nil
Duration: 6 hours
Assessment: No assessment; provision of certificate for full attendance Course outline: The purpose of this introductory course is to enable officials to acquire basic skills to officiate safe, enjoyable competition.
Course details:
The course focuses on the following aspects of the game:
* Playing charter and the principles of rugby
* Individual core skills and safety in contact
* Risk Management and ethics
* Role of the match official
* Basic communication
* Child and adolescent growth and development
* Basic Positional play
* Philosophy of advantage
* Role of the Assistant Referee
Saturday April 10.
9:30-5:00
The cost will be $50.00 for Students and $85.00. for Seniors.
For an additional $25.00 we will provide a whistle, set of cars and set of flags.
Class size will be limited to 10 people.
